ETHS: announce France s Got Talent contestant Rachel as new vocalist
French metal stars ETHS are proud to present their new vocalist, named Rachel Aspe. Rachel made her international debut on prime time television as part of La France A Un Incroyable Talent (the French equivalent/franchise of America s Got Talent). Her death metal vocal styling stunned the judges and crowd before going viral and being seen by millions of people. Video of her audition has been widely covered by such international sites such as ABC News, MSN, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Salon, and dozens more. Rachel commented on joining ETHS, saying: I m really proud to be a part of ETHS. I ve been a fan of the band for many years, and it s a great honor for me to sing songs I have been listening to for such a long time.
Regarding the new band member, ETHS stated: We re pleased to welcome Rachel to the band. She s great and has an awesome voice! Thanks a lot to Virginie and Nelly for filling in on stage during the last few months. Now a new chapter is beginning for ETHS. We re energized and looking forward to our upcoming shows with Rachel. See you on the road!
This newer, stronger version of ETHS announced their first shows with Rachel on vocals. Dates include shows in France and Switzerland throughout April, May, and June. More dates are forthcoming, and confirmed dates are as follows:

Hi everybody, we want to say to you how we were so happy all these years to live and play with Candice. We deeply love and respect her as a singer, as a friend, as a sister...
We know how hard it was to take such a big decision. We will support her as always and we wish you will accept her choice.
Candice will play three last shows in France in october with us and we will give everything to offer you great shows.
You also have to know that the band will continue. In a first time, we are proud to anounce that Virginie from the french band KELLS will help us with another female singer that we will present ASAP. We are really enthousiasts to be on a stage with them.
That is a new chapter in the eths history, but we are still alive and we will keep on supporting, "III", our new album, all around the world.
We will work really hard and we will take the time we need to show you a new eths as awesome as everybody expects. Yes we know that even if nobody is irreplaceable, as Candice said, we know the value of the one which leaves us today.
Once again count on us, this is a new challenge and we will face it.

Here is Candice’s full statement on the subject:
“It is with deep sorrow that I am informing you of my departure from the band. I am leaving four friends, two of which I even consider as brothers.
“I made this choice for personal and family reasons. It has been very hard to make this decision and to face the truth about my longings and a passion that is no longer strong enough to prevail. I can’t live unconditionally for music and its listeners anymore. Although the stage remains an outlet, I can’t live up to such a demanding job anymore. I have been living for music for the past 15 years and it has given me back so much, but there are now things I can’t sacrifice anymore and I need to take care of my family and stay with them.
“The band wants to go on, as the guys are still burning with a rage and a motivation that I don’t have anymore – you can’t cheat with things that have to come from your heart, body and soul. I am begging you to keep ETHS and the people who will replace me close to your hearts. This is the end of a chapter but you have to give a chance to novelty and change. I am definitely not irreplaceable. Until the band finds a permanent successor, two people will share the vocal duties and I asked my friend Virginie from KELLS (please be nice to her) to be one of them. Before that, I will carry out the remaining gigs until October to bid you farewell and enjoy my last moments on stage. This may surprise you and the last shows may be emotionally painful, but I prefer to talk about it publicly now.
“I wish to thank all those who have been supporting us since our early days in 1999, our friends, people from the music business who believe in ETHS and, of course, the fans without whom nothing would have ever been possible. ETHS’ fans are so kind-hearted and gave me so much love and gratitude along the years that I will cherish those memories forever. I have been through wonderful times thanks to you and have been keeping all gifts and notes in a box. Thank you again.
“I guess you will ask me a lot of questions regarding my departure but please respect my silence. I told you all you need to know.
“Last but not least, I wish to thank ETHS and the music, which taught me so much about surpassing oneself, willpower, tolerance, writing and all the things that made me become the person I am today.
“Thank you all and see you soon.”

ETHS ne jouera finalement pas le 18 mai au Cabaret Sauvage à Paris, vous pourrez vous faire rembourser vos places sur les points de vente, c est Aqme qui les remplacera mais vous pourrez retrouver ETHS en concert à Paris le 02 juin au Bataclan pour une grande soirée MyRock.

ETHS debut album to be reissued
ETHS long awaited album "III" is now available everywhere, except in North America where it will hit the stores on June 5th.
This is the perfect moment to make the band s debut full-length "Sôma" available for their fast growing fan community once again. When "Sôma" was originally released in 2004, it became an overnight success and catapulted the quintet from Marseilles not only on the covers of nearly every music magazine in France, but also outsold established metal-headliners like CHILDREN OF BODOM or CRADLE OF FILTH there. The pure raw and undiluted energy and anger bursting out from "Sôma" and the stunning vocals of singer Candice make this album a milestone until today. Now re-issued with four previously unreleased exclusive bonus tracks from the 2003 demo sessions, this version of "Sôma" is a must have for old and new fans!
